Useful Information
The retriever is made from UV resistant UHMW
with stainless steel fittings and is supplied with
a bridle for attaching your retriever line.
The slider and tether are stainless steel.
Tether chain is supplied in excess of the length
normally required and is cut to length after installation.
A shackle is provided to facilitate attaching
the tether to the trip point of the anchor.
Ample cable ties are provided.
AnchorRescue works well with the following anchor types:
• Claw – Bruce, etc.
• Hinged plow – CQR, etc.
• Fixed plow – Delta, etc.
• Scoop – Rocna, etc.
AnchorRescue will work with pivoting fluke anchors like the Fortress and Danforth but requires modification to the tether arrangement and in some cases the anchor. We are in the process of developing an ‘add-on’ for these anchors and should have it online soon. If in the meantime, you would like to use AnchorRescue with a pivoting fluke anchor, contact us and we will be happy to detail the modifications required.
The AnchorRescue you need is determined by the size of the chain used at the anchor.
AnchorRescue is available in three standard sizes:
• ARII-312 - for 5/16 inch (8 mm) anchor chain with 34" tether chain.
• ARII-375 - for 3/8 inch (10 mm) anchor chain with 44" tether chain.
• ARII-500 - for 1/2 inch (12-13 mm) anchor chain with 54" tether chain.
(NOTE: The ARII-500 slider is a close fit for 13mm chain. Misshapen links may cause the slider to hang up.)
The maximun load for ARII-312 and ARII-375 is 760lb.
The maximun load for ARII-500 is 940lb.
A spacer is required when using AnchorRescue with a swivel. An appropriate spacer is supplied with every AnchorRescue.
This spacer, placed between the swivel and the slider, allows the top half of the swivel and the connected anchor rode to rotate without catching on the slider and causing it to rotate also.
Depending on the swivel in use, the spacer may ride above the swivel or drop down over to top of the swivel. In the figure below, the swivel is small and the spacer has dropped down over the top. It could just as easily ride on top of the swivel.
Securing the tether with a cable tie is the same as when a swivel is not used. Leave enough slack for free movement of the swivel at the shank of the anchor.
If you have misplaced the supplied spacer, we will supply a replacement for a nominal fee or you can make one out of a piece of schedule 80 plastic pipe. If you don’t use UV protected pipe, keep an eye on degradation from the sun.
• ARII-312SVL - for 5/16 inch anchor chain.
• ARII-375SVL - for 3/8 inch anchor chain.
• ARII-500SVL - for 1/2 inch anchor chain.
It is rare, but there are circumstances where even AnchorRescue cannot
free an anchor. For example:
• If the retriever cannot reach the slider - a fouled rode could cause this type of situation.
• If the anchor is so tightly wedged into an obstruction that the working load limit of the AnchorRescue would be exceeded in trying to free it.
For a rope/chain rode, a splice is required. The retriever is not designed to pass over the bulk of a thimble/shackle connection.
If your anchor does not have a hole designed for a trip line or a point of attachment suited to a trip line, you will have to add one before you can use the AnchorRescue anchor retrieval system.
Because we can’t know every anchor/chain combination, there may be some combinations out there that require a tether length longer than that provided. In that case, you can either extend the tether yourself or, for a nominal fee, we will exchange your slider/tether for one with an extra long tether.
We currently use USPS Priority for all of our shipping. You will note that shipping costs only increase with mulitples of three units to the same address so there may be some advantage to combining an order with a friend or two. Any and all duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

Boxer Marine, LLC Limited Warranty:
Boxer Marine LLC warrants its products to be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and with normal maintenance for five years from the date of purchase. This Limited Warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser and does not run to any subsequent purchaser.
If the product fails within five years from the date of purchase, we will repair the product or send you a new part free of charge, provided the product has been given reasonable care, has not been used for commercial service, and the damage has not resulted from improper installation, accident, negligence or misuse or from unauthorized alterations by the purchaser.
All claims must be made to Boxer Marine LLC at the address shown below within thirty (30) days after discovery of the defect. Details on the defect and how the product was used, together with proof of purchase must be included with the defective product, and sent to Boxer Marine LLC prepaid and insured.
IN NO EVENT SHALL BOXER MARINE LLC BE LIABLE UNDER THIS WARRANTY FOR ANY AMOUNT EXCEEDING THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT. BOXER MARINE LLC DOES NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ASSUME THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF ITS PRODUCTS.
This warranty set forth is in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied.
